The forms of this sculpture began as purely
abstract forms, but as I worked with clay models I began to see
them as dancing figures. I let that idea guide me to the
final forms. I thought about Native American line dances
as I designed. The patterns carved into the surfaces are
derived from the textile patterns used by the Seminoles (FSU's
mascot).
